Printing Control maintains an FTP
site to which you can upload your electronic files. If you have an ISP (Internet Service Provider),
then you have the ability to send us your files using FTP. Depending on your ISP and Internet
connection speed, your upload time will differ.
Printing Control assigns personal account folders that have unique usernames and passwords associated with them. This ensures that your files are secure, and can only be accessed by the appropriate personnel. If you are a new customer please contact us and we will setup a new private folder for you. Please include desired username and password, otherwise one will be assigned for you. If you are an existing customer but have never requested a private FTP folder before, please contact your Account Representative.
Step 1 - Download a File Transfer Program:
You will need to download an FTP program.
Windows: FileZilla, CoreFTP, WS FTP
Macintosh: Fetch, Transmit, Cyberduck
For more FTP programs, click on www.download.com or www.shareware.com
Step 2 - Login:
Host: ftp.printingcontrol.com

Step 3 - Transferring a File:
A window will appear displaying a list of folders or directories. To add or remove
files simply drag and drop files from your computer into the folders.
If you are sending a multiple number of files, make sure they are named so they can
easily be identified by Printing Control. We recommend that you compress your files or folders
as self-expanding archives using either Stuffit or PK Zip. Then upload to our FTP server. This
will save upload time.
Step 4 - Notify Printing Control When You Have Uploaded Your Files:
When sending files to our FTP site, please notify your account representative.
